Chiefs never contacted Peyton Manning's agent for a visit.

My sources told me today that the Kansas City Chiefs never called Peyton Manning's agent  for a visit. My sources also told me that Peyton Manning didn't wanna play for the Kansas City Chiefs because of Scott Poili's past with the New England Patriots when he was part of the Patriots Vice President of Player Personnel and there spygating scam. My sources also told me that the only way the Chiefs could have landed Peyton Manning was if the Chiefs fired Scott Poili and Romeo Crennel. That would  be the only way that Kansas City Chiefs fans could have seen Peyton Manning in Red and Gold leading the way on offense.

Fans helped convince RT Winston to sign with Chiefs

RT Eric Winston, formerly with the Texans, said several factors led to his joining the Chiefs; one was K.C. fans communicating with him via social media. “These fans mean business; they were blowing my Twitter up,” Winston said. “I thought it was great that they were so into it and they knew everything that was going on and they actually knew who I was and what they felt like I could do. I loved it.”

I've been running around. I've just got to get my final release from the doctor."

The Chiefs are still hoping to get a meeting in the next day or so with DE Kamerion Wimbley, who was released late last week by the Raiders. Wimbley broke into the NFL with the Browns when Romeo Crennel was the head coach in Cleveland. Depth at defensive end and pass rushing are two items that are still on the Chiefs off-season wish list.

Chiefs sign Brady Quinn

Brady Quinn, Tim Tebow

Brady Quinn is going to Kansas City.

The Chiefs announced the signing of Quinn, a free agent quarterback who spent the last two seasons with the Broncos. In Kansas City he’ll back up Matt Cassel.

Quinn entered the NFL as a first-round draft pick of the Browns in 2007, when Romeo Crennel was Cleveland’s head coach. This move reunites Quinn and Crennel, who’s now the head coach of the Chiefs.
